Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ChucoPropertyTaxes.com ("we," "us," or "the Service") provides property tax protest analysis tools for El Paso County, Texas. Our data is sourced from official El Paso Central Appraisal District (EPCAD) public records. The Service includes property lookups, comparable property analysis, equity rankings, exemption checks, and protest report generation.

2. Accounts & Credits

  • Users must create an account to access premium features.
  • Property credits are purchased in packages (Homeowner, Pro, or Investor). One credit unlocks one property (identified by its EPCAD property ID) for unlimited analysis and report generation.
  • Credits expire on December 31, 2026. Unused credits are forfeited after expiration.
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
  • All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on purchased credits.

3. Acceptable Use

The Service is intended for personal property tax protest preparation only. By using the Service, you agree that you will not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially share reports, analysis results, or underlying property data.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to bulk-access the Service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download property data from the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.
  • Use the Service to compile databases of property information for sale or commercial distribution.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

4. Data & Accuracy

  • Property data comes from EPCAD public records and is updated periodically. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data.
  • Reports generated by the Service are informational tools only. They are not legal advice, tax advice, or professional appraisal services.
  • You are responsible for verifying all information before using it in any official proceeding, including appraisal review board hearings.
  • We are not liable for any decisions made or outcomes resulting from the use of our reports or analysis.

5. Intellectual Property

Report content, analysis methodology, and presentation are proprietary to ChucoPropertyTaxes.com. When you purchase credits and generate reports, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to use those reports for your own property tax protest purposes. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the reports.

6. Privacy

We collect your email address, name, and payment information to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Property searches are associated with your user account for service delivery purposes. We use Stripe for payment processing — see Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data. 7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not responsible for the outcomes of any property tax protests, hearings, or related proceedings.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
